Is There Something In Your Drink?

As I read the news, there are numerous talks on how young women (and men) are unknowingly drinking something that has been dropped into their drinks.

One day, years ago now, when I was able to converse with my daughter, she was telling me about how her brother-in-laws girlfriend was petrified to drink the sodas that were coming from the food court near where she worked because of stories that the sodas were being spiked.  My daughter said that this friend started to go a little overboard with having her drink checked, even in the company of friends.

Well, I think we should all be cautious.  Especially young women.  But, for this friend to be that carried away with that type of thinking is one I thought my daughter should heed, just a little, for her own safety.  For you never know what someone might be putting in your drink.  I think it was a good thing for this young woman to speak up about such a thing, a warning if you will, to those around her.  (Was she trying to tell my daughter something she didn’t know?)

This used to scare me too, when I attended a certain church and the communal glass of wine that everyone went to and dipped their piece of bread into, could have easily have had someone slip something in there that you would prefer not to partake of.

Has your life turned upside down?  Have you and those around you started calling evil good and good evil?  Maybe you should ask yourself the question: “Is there something in your drink?”

Isaiah 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

(Don’t drink the Kool-Aid)
